Diwali.

My OOTDs for Diwali this year.
I was suppose to wear a third saree, but got lazy hehe :)

Diwali started off with prayers for my late mother on the eve.
Despite missing my mum, it started off well with my mum's side of the family :)

Diwali morning was a rush for all of us to get ready since there were three young ladies wearing sarees this year and the guys were all getting really impatient -.-

Spent the day visiting houses and consuming lots of Indian food & alcohol :)

Wednesday night at my aunties house :)
I love my kids.

Friday night was my open house.
We contemplated on whether we should throw one since it would be our first time without my mum (who was the main party planner). We decided that it's a tradition she would've wanted us to continue.

I'd say we faired well :)

Ben's only not-so-failed artistic shot.

   Happy birthday Arthur! :)
You did not leave my house drunk enough, but it's okay.

My guests for the night :)

Saturday night ended the week of events with a family friends open house :)

Instead of a saree I wore a maxi dress my mother got for me in 2010.
Which I finally had a chance to wear! :)

I definitely had a great Diwali this year :) Mostly because of my wonderful family plus I definitely had fun dressing up and going back to my Indian roots! :)

Now, to start my detox.

Audball's birthday @ Rama V.

Our OOTDs for dinner Saturday night.
(Ben's missing cause she's lame like that)

To celebrate our fellow ho's birthday, we mini surprised her with dinner at Rama V since I knew she wanted to try the place out awhile back. We've ate thai food together so often that when we open the menu we just look at each other and say "so, the usual?". We should probably expand our Thai tastebuds soon :p

Fried squid with sweet and sour sauce.

Pamelo salad with shredded chicken and shrimp.

Tom yum seafood.

Pandan chicken.

Green curry chicken.

The food was all up to par with the reviews I've read :)
Dishes range from Rm20-30 on average and the portions were fairly big = worth it.

Mango sticky rice.

Water-chestnut.

My pretty pretty ladies <3

Mirror that shows her alter ego!

Kisses for the birthday girl!

So, the ride home was pretty jammed which lead to this:

and about 30 other pictures...

Busy busy days ahead as tomorrow is Deepavali! Gonna be wearing sarees this year! :D
Hope I don't melt away..

Happy Deepavali!

Happy Halloween!

I know I'm 6 days too late and I've barely blogged but it's been a rough three weeks, so bare with me. Anyway, I celebrated Halloween twice this year, so, two costumes. Both very last minute and.. amateur. Oh well :)

A Cabaret dancer.

A bunny!
Note to self: use face paint instead of eyeliner next time.

Nothing much to say about the first event at Vertigo/Rootz because it turned out a disaster (but lets not get into that). However, Mutant Mayhem @ Vertigo on the 2nd of November was fun :)

Had my girls with me and really, that's all I need to have a good time :)
Especially since all of us were high that night.. haha.

Marie's awesome hand-made Thor costume and you gotta admit Ben does look like Wednesday Addams.
Or well, just plain freaky.

Had a fat dessert day with Amanda and Hazel at Alexis and Just Heavenly last Thursday. We had tea and wine while sitting for hours and giving in to all of our guilty pleasures, including gossiping.

Pecan Pie.
I love pecan pie. I really really do. Definitely gonna attempt to make my own soon.

Chocolate Macadamia cake.
This was pretty good too since I love macadamias as well.

Lemon Meringue.
The meringue was good but the lemon tart, yuck.

Chocolate Eclair.
Simple but yummy.

Durian Chocolate cake.
SO GOOD. Durian and chocolate lovers would LOVE this.

I haven't gone out to eat much recently because I've been cooped up at home dealing with the dilemmas of my life. I started watching Pretty Little Liars (I got bullied, yes bullied, into watching the show by my best friends) which took up a lot of my time. Just finished episode 13 of season 3 today and I can't wait for the next episode to come out but omg, JANUARY?

I've been a sloth the past couple of weeks but it's time to change that.
Look forward to more food posts! New month means new spending allowances and since I'm making November a no shopping month, I won't feel so guilty about indulging in food :)
